Titanium dioxide ink typeis a special technology of TiO₂ paint developed for the purpose of printing ink systems. Being one of the widest usage in the ink sector, it offers the basic whiteness, transparency and clarity that determine the vision of either the white or the colored ink formulation in a wide variety of printing applications.

In the production of ink, TiO₂ acts as the first opaque and white agent. It has a very high refractive index — about 2.7 for rutile class — which allows it to disperse visible light more effectively than any other white pigment, providing maximum hiding power at competitive loading levels.
